Uwharrie Mountain Run (40 miles)
7 02 2004Ernie raced the 40 miler, and placed 33rd out of 75 finishing males. His time of 9 hours 33 minutes was almost 45 minutes faster than last year! Consider that was without any distance running training! Here’s what he had to say: The trail was a complete mud bath and there were at least 10 additional river crossings this year due to the 2 inches of rain the night before.
