The Special Operations Warriors Foundation will again be the beneficiary of proceeds from the Special Operations Adventure Race (SOAR) to be held in Highlands, in the beautiful Western mountains of North Carolina on Saturday, June 14, 2008. A mandatory safety briefing is on Friday, June 13, 2008. This year’s event will feature 2 separate races: A Sprint Race of 5 - 7 hours including running, rappelling, paddling, and mountain biking. The Elite Race of 10-12 hours including running, mountain biking, paddling, rappelling, and orienteering. This years race will be limited to 120 participants.
