Brian Thompson Raced as a member of Team Momentum, the team fared very well with a 2nd place 4-Male placing and 5th overall Pro-full course finish. The team finished in 22:16 raw time with a 3HR added penalty for “abandoned gear” for a final time of 25:16

Results from Curse at the Crab MTB race.

Bruce and Brian competed in the 11/4 “Curse at the Crab” 6 hour MTB race at Lake Crabtree Park. Thanks to the Triangle Cyclopaths for supporting this race..great food..great volunteers and very organized. The 6 hour relay format had a total of 95 racers in the SOLO, DUO and TRIO category…Brian finished 10th out of 38 racers in the SOLO category with 7 laps…Bruce paired with NCSU racer Juan Pedrazza for a 2nd place DUO finish with 10 laps. The race featured night racing with temps dropping into the low 30’s making for some tough late laps.



Adventure X-stream Expedition results

Charlie and Ernie raced as part of team Check Point Zero with Paul Cox and Beth Reyburn finishing in 7th place overall. Due to heavy storms the course was halted leaving teams to be pulled from the course, adjustments were made based on time and progress to determine final rankings. 9-1-1 Team results

After taking off two years to concentrate on race director duties, Bruce was able to race again, teaming up with two fellow Law Enforcement Officers; Dale Long and Rory Avant from S.C to form Palmetto-Tarheels. The trio was able to complete the entire bike leg, logging 33 miles and obtained all 18 points to gain a 50 pt. rogaine bonus. After being the first racers in all categories to finish the bike and swim leg, they transitioned to the trekking/orienteering section to begin nearly 3.5 hours of foot travel. The team was able to pick-up 267 points to end the day with a total of 317 which locked them into 6th place overall, second among the open 3 person teams and first place in the Public Safety team category.
